Description
Our N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg vial holds 10mg of lyophilized N-Acetyl Selank Amidate, a capped Selank analog, tested by HPLC-MS. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate at a glance
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate is Selank with an acetyl group on one end and an amide on the other. Selank itself is a seven-amino-acid peptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) built on tuftsin, a fragment of an antibody protein, and was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow.
The two caps protect the ends of the chain from enzymes, which is meant to make it last longer than plain Selank.
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate mechanism of action
Selank appears to work partly through the GABA system. In rats it changes the expression of genes for GABA receptor subunits and affects how the brain handles enkephalins, the body’s own opioid peptides, by slowing the enzymes that break them down.
The N-acetyl and C-amide caps are a standard trick for short peptides. Peptidases usually attack the free ends of a chain first, so capping both ends slows that breakdown.

N-Acetyl Selank Amidate research
Selank is registered in Russia for anxiety. Russian studies report anxiolytic effects in rats and changes in GABA-related gene expression, and a small trial compared it with medazepam in generalized anxiety.
There’s little published work on the capped version specifically, so most of what’s known comes from the Selank literature.

N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg vs related compounds
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg is easier to place once you see it next to the compounds it’s usually compared with. N-Acetyl Selank Amidate is capped Selank, studied for anxiety through the GABA system. The others:
- N-Acetyl Semax Amidate is Semax with protective caps on both ends, linked to BDNF in rodent work
- DSIP is a nine-amino-acid peptide first isolated from rabbits in deep sleep
- PE-22-28 is a short spadin analog that blocks the TREK-1 potassium channel
These are short neuropeptides studied for focus, anxiety, sleep and mood, and each works through a different system in the brain. See them all on our nootropic peptides page.
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg reconstitution and concentration
Here’s the math for 10mg of powder:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 3.33mg/mL
Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.
Use sterile bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll the vial gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.
Storing N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg
Freeze-dried N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg handles room temperature fine during shipping, but for anything longer keep it in a freezer at -20°C, away from light. Once mixed, keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within 28 days.
Let a frozen vial warm up to room temperature before you open it. Cold glass pulls moisture out of the air, and that moisture is what degrades dry peptide.
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg purity and lab testing
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg goes through HPLC-MS before it’s sold. Chromatography gives the purity figure, and the mass spectrometer checks the molecular weight against the expected value. N-Acetyl Selank Amidate 10mg tests at over 99% purity.
After freeze-drying, each vial is vacuum-sealed. Keeping air and moisture out is what lets lyophilized peptide stay stable for months in a freezer.
Keep a record of the batch number on each label. Matching results to batches is the simplest way to rule out the material when an experiment doesn’t behave.
