Skin and Tanning Peptides

Our skin and tanning peptides cover three lines of research: copper peptides (GHK-Cu, copper-free GHK and the GLOW and KLOW blends), cosmetic peptides like Snap-8, and the melanocortins Melanotan I, Melanotan II and PT-141. There’s also glutathione and two raw copper peptide powders.

What are skin and tanning peptides?

GHK-Cu is the copper-binding tripeptide Loren Pickart found in human plasma, studied for collagen and wound repair. Snap-8 is an eight-amino-acid cosmetic peptide that mimics part of SNAP-25 and is studied for expression lines.

The melanocortins act on the receptors for alpha-MSH. Melanotan I leans toward MC1R, the pigment receptor, Melanotan II hits all five receptors, and PT-141 was developed from Melanotan II to act on MC4R in the brain.

How to choose skin and tanning peptides

For collagen and repair models, start with GHK-Cu or one of the GLOW blends. For pigmentation, compare Melanotan I with Melanotan II. For topical formulation work, the raw powders and Snap-8 are the right fit.

Copper-free GHK is useful as a control next to GHK-Cu, because it shows which effects need the copper.

Purity and testing for our skin and tanning peptides

Every batch in this range is checked by HPLC-MS, which measures purity and confirms the molecular weight in one test. Most products test above 99% purity, and each product page states its figure. Vials are vacuum-sealed after freeze-drying to keep air and moisture out.

Store sealed vials in the freezer at -20°C and reconstitute with sterile bacteriostatic water when you’re ready. Every vial page lists the concentration you’ll get for each volume of water. Mixed vials go in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and should be used within 28 days.
