Description

The GLOW blend 70mg from Polaris Peptides holds 50mg GHK-Cu, 10mg TB-500 and 10mg BPC-157, freeze-dried together in one vial. It’s sold for laboratory research only.

Inside the GLOW blend 70mg

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper ion. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and its levels fall with age.

TB-500: Thymosin beta-4 is a 43-amino-acid protein found in nearly every cell, where it binds actin and helps control cell movement. TB-500 is the name used for synthetic thymosin beta-4 and for a short fragment of its active region.

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide based on a fragment of body protection compound, a protein first found in gastric juice. It’s one of the most widely studied research peptides, almost entirely in rodents.

GLOW combines the copper peptide GHK-Cu with the two main repair peptides, aimed at skin and wound models. The 70mg vial carries more GHK-Cu and twice the BPC-157 of the 50mg version.

GLOW 70 is made as 50mg GHK-Cu, 10mg TB-500 and 10mg BPC-157, which adds up to the 70mg on the label. Because everything is freeze-dried together, the ratio can’t drift the way it can when you mix separate vials. One reconstitution, one label, the same proportions in every draw.

How the GLOW blend 70mg works

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

Thymosin beta-4’s main job is holding on to G-actin, the building block of the cell’s internal scaffolding. By controlling how much actin is free to polymerize, it controls how cells move and change shape.

Nobody has pinned down a single receptor for BPC-157. Lab studies point to several pathways: it raises VEGF receptor expression, which feeds blood vessel growth, it interacts with the nitric oxide system, and it increases growth hormone receptor levels in tendon cells.

GLOW blend research

Loren Pickart, who first isolated GHK in 1973, has published reviews of its effects on collagen synthesis, wound contraction and gene expression in cell and animal studies.

Goldstein and colleagues reviewed thymosin beta-4’s role in wound repair in 2012, covering faster closure of skin wounds and new blood vessel growth in animal models.

Most of the work comes from Predrag Sikiric’s group at the University of Zagreb. Their rodent studies report faster healing of tendon, ligament, muscle and gut injuries, and Mikus and colleagues described improved burn wound healing in mice.

The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search for GHK-Cu, TB-500 and BPC-157 studies to start from.

How GLOW blend 70mg is tested

GLOW blend 70mg goes through HPLC-MS before it’s sold. Chromatography gives the purity figure, and the mass spectrometer checks the molecular weight against the expected value. GLOW blend 70mg tests at over 99% purity.

The vials are vacuum-sealed once the powder is freeze-dried. Moisture and oxygen are the two things that break down dry peptide fastest, and the seal keeps both out.

Write the batch number from the label into your lab notes. If a result looks odd later, you can tie it back to the exact batch you used.

How to reconstitute GLOW blend 70mg

The amount of liquid you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 70mg:

  • 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 35mg/mL
  • 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 23.33mg/mL
  • 5mL of bacteriostatic water gives 14mg/mL

Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.

Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water, which has 0.9% benzyl alcohol to keep the vial clean between draws. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature, add the water slowly along the glass wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake it.

How to store GLOW blend 70mg

Store sealed vials of GLOW blend 70mg in the freezer at -20°C, out of direct light. Mixed solution goes in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and should be used within 28 days.

Leave sealed vials sealed until you need them. Dry powder in a closed vial lasts far longer than solution, so there’s no reason to mix more than one at a time.

Choosing a GLOW blend strength

GLOW blend 70mg is one of the larger sizes, and bigger vials usually cost less per milligram. It suits longer studies where you’d otherwise reorder.

Save on GLOW blend 70mg in bulk

Ordering for a longer study? Bulk packs of GLOW blend 70mg cut the price per vial:

  • 1 vial: $99.00
  • 2 vials: $178.20, about $89.10 per vial (save 10%)
  • 5 vials: $420.75, about $84.15 per vial (save 15%)
  • 10 vials: $762.30, about $76.23 per vial (save 23%)
  • 15 vials: $1,098.90, about $73.26 per vial (save 26%)
  • 20 vials: $1,386.00, about $69.30 per vial (save 30%)

At 20 vials you save 30% compared with buying singles. Every vial in a pack is the same 50mg/10mg/10mg product, from the same stock.
